Youth Bands Sought for Battle of the Bands at River Garden on Friday, Nov. 5

Youth bands from every corner of Windham County are sought to compete for top prizes at the Battle of the Bands held Friday, at the River Garden, during Gallery Walk night on October 5, from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission to this substance free event is only $4 which includes refreshments, dancing, and door prizes.

According to organizers, competition is expected to be fierce, with top area youth bands (ages 20 and under) playing their best in their effort to win a prize that could greatly aid their musical careers.  First prize is 3-5 hours of professional recording time donated by engineer Billy Shaw of Soundesign and a master copy of the recorded songs.

This event is organized by Youth Services, a community-based, non-profit organization serving Windham County area residents since 1972. Battle of the Band tickets only sold at the door.
