Student Assistance Program

Youth Services' Student Assistance Program enhances and expands the impact of the agency's Substance Abuse Treatment Program. The program's Student Assistance Counselors supply substance abuse prevention and intervention services at high schools and middle schools throughout Windham County. They also work in partnership with community groups to provide parent education, respond to community crises and enhance young people's media literacy.

• Referrals for youth at risk for substance abuse
• Guidance and advice on issues such as substance abuse and prevention
• Support groups for children of alcoholics and youth struggling to overcome a variety of problems
• Clinical consultation services to high school and middle school staff
