Notably, nearly 20% of Youth Services' budget is dependent on funds raised from individuals, businesses and foundations. Such donations help make it possible for the organization to provide services to individuals regardless of their ability to pay. Ways of Making a Gift Give a gift to Youth Services charged to your credit card, using our secure Click & Pledge site, which mails all donated money to Youth Services twice a month. This service permits recurring donations, if youd like to make a large gift spread out over several months. You will immediately receive a e-receipt and Youth Services will acknowledge your donation in its Annual Report. To make a gift in cash, please stop by Youth Services at 32 Walnut St., in Brattleboro, Vermont. (Walnut Street is across from Brooks Memorial Library on Main Street; Youth Services' building is between Fleming Oil Co. and Brattleboro Music Center.) The agency is open from 8:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The office closes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. your MasterCard or VISA, simply call Youth Services at By making a gift of appreciated securities, you can avoid the burden of a capital gains tax assessment and preserve your cash assets. End-of-year donors are encouraged to call their brokers in late November or early December to ensure stocks are transferred by December 31. Thank you. Revenue from corporate matching gift programs is an increasingly vital source of income for Youth Services. Thousands of organizations match gifts of employees, directors, and retirees. Please request a matching gift form from your personnel office, mail it with your gift to Youth Services. Youth Services will see to it that the rest of the necessary paperwork is completed. You may make a gift anonymously. Such donations are acknowledged in our annual report. Making Gifts in Honor or Memory of Someone How do you thank those special individuals who inspire and illuminate, stir and motivate? Or people who are friends, when you really need them! Are you having a hard time thinking of a gift for a relative to mark a special birthday or anniversary? Why not make a donation to Youth Services in your honoree's name? You give or mail a card to your honoree explaining the gift, and Youth Services sends an acknowledgement to him or her and a tax-deductible receipt to you! You also could coordinate a larger gift from several individuals in order to make a greater impact on both your honoree and the young people served by Youth Services. Send donations in honor or memory of an individual to: Youth Services, P.O. Box 6008, 32 Walnut St, Brattleboro, Vermont 05302-6008. Your honoree or their family members will receive word of your gift within a week. The donation will appear in Youth Services' annual report so your honoree will receive public recognition as well. Making a Donation in Lieu of Flowers Designating a donation to Youth Services in lieu of flowers when a loved one passes away is an excellent way to make a positive impact on the lives of Windham County area youth and their families. Please advise the funeral home to list Youth Services as your "in lieu of flowers" designee. 50% of the profits of the sale of these T-shirts will be donated to Youth Services. The dollar figures below will give you an idea of the variety of programs your donations will help support. $50 - Covers the transportation costs for youth in the restorative justice program to get to and from their community service sites. $100 - Pays for a one-hour counseling session between a young person and one of the agency's therapists. (In instances where individual has no insurance.) $200 - Pays for sheltering a runaway youth in a host home for one week. $300 - Underwrites family mediation (usually three meetings) for a family that couldn't otherwise afford this service. $450 - Enables a young person to benefit from three session of "Next Choice," an educational series on substance abuse issues. $500 - Covers the cost of an alcohol and drug assessment for a teenager. $600 - Pays for a youthful offender to participate in Diversion as an alternative to going to court to face criminal charges. $1,000 - Pays for 10 family therapy sessions for a teenage drug abuser and his or her family.
