Youth and Family Counseling and Therapy

Problems with no clear solution can surface in a family. Youth Services' trained and licensed counseling staff can provide assistance in a respectful, no-blame atmosphere. Whether Youth Services' counselors are working with a family or with an individual, their goal is the same: to help them function in a healthy manner. The agency also provides one-time parent consultations as necessary.

Some of the emotionally painful problems our staff helps clients address include:

  • Depression and/or anxiety
  • Parent-child conflicts
  • Parental separation or divorce
  • Alcoholic or drug-dependent parents
  • Destructive or threatening forms of anger
  • Trouble relating to peers
  • Sibling rivalry
  • Self-destructive choices
  • Recovery from traumatic experiences
  • Trouble getting through developmental hurdles

In addition to traditional counseling sessions at our office, the agency's street outreach workers, volunteers and network of service providers are available to help clients make the changes decided upon during therapy. In most cases, these supplemental services are available at no additional charge.
